left homey at around 830pm. went to shengsiong first to get 10BIG cans of F&N sweetened milk & NESCAFE. haha, last minute acts. reached there, the 'kenduri' ; gathering to pray for the best for the upcoming events was over.
LOL, & i wore the blouse for nothing.
shockingly when i reached there, the 'pelamin' (where the married couple sit on chairs/sofa, up to individual's taste, decorated according to specific themes &the chairs/sofa were placed on a beautified stage) wasnt ready! LOL, they said they'll reached here later night cause they had to decorate few other places too. but they didnt ; UNTIL 5am. danggg!
ofcourse, not to miss ; i took pics of the nicely-decorated married couple's room. it's called 'bilik pengantin'. where all the make-up &changing of outfits took place. maroon with fresh flowers was the theme.
so gardenly-refreshing eh? hehe.

friday we didnt have much to do. LOL. just slack around, buat kecohs je. expectedly, there arent space for us to sleep at marfle's home. was jam-packed with makciks, pakciks, neneks. please luh, i got such a HUGE family okay? including my nenek's sister laa, that aunty's mum, that aunty's son.. all these & that. so we the youngsters had to stay up at night downstairs. slacked & crapped, while sitting on the bare stage. (the 'pelamin' weren't ready yet) guess what? the shuffle fever is up. mentang2 si ajun da famous la katekan.. video dier shuffle da kat youtube.com hahs. my nephews, INCLUDING AJUN HIMSELF, used the bare stage to shuffle. damn funny laaa! my 3year old nephew didnt know how to shuffle, but he was like the most enthu one! hah, ajun videoed those acts & probably it would be up in youtube.com already. soon, our energies drained. me, marfle & mima went up. we just couldnt take it anymore. NO WAY WE'RE GONNA SLEEP DOWNSTAIRS! hahs ; so went squeezed in between and slept like sardines in tins.

HARI PERNIKAHAN KAK JANNAH & ABANG KHAI (SOLEMNISATION DAY)
okay, back to helping out with the preparations. hehe. it's damn fun &noisy i tell you. all the cousins, makciks, neneks gathered together ; doing the same thing together. anyway, more people helped out so things were supposed to done faster. LOL! BUT NO, hehe we kinda slow things down(; first job of the day ; to prepare 'bunga rampai' for the groom's family members.
'bunga rampai' is like dried pandan leaves mixed with perfume. but please okay, not that kind of adidas or branded perfumes. malay traditional perfume uh(; so we have to put them in little containers, decorated too. sadly, i didnt snap any shots of 'bunga rampai'.. sad eh? ): hehe. but i did shot a pic of us doing 'bunga telur'.
'bunga telur' are stalks of flowesr with a boiled egg attached to each of it.
those were meant for the 'marhabans'. (i dont know how to explain that:D hehe)
anyway, remember DAANIA? my fave niece.
yeah, she reached marfle's place. & works were interrupted thanks to her.
so, me being the nicest auntie in the whole wide world, i brought her to the playground.
ofcourse ; she's soooooooooooo cute!
after two whole hours of entertaining her, i went back to join marfle, mima & the rest. guess what? i went back & they still HAVE NOT finished doing the 'bunga rampai'.. LOL ryte!? haha, tak ley harap betol dorang tu.. so, we left the 'bunga rampai' jobs to the neneks. me, marfle &mima started doing something else. we prepared the 'sirih dara' ; four towers of flowers. decorated nicely.
we sticked to fresh white & red roses.
nice right the 'sirih dara'? both sides, the groom &the bride, have to prepare one. which will be exchanged later during 'nikah' (solemnisation). &it would be placed on 'pelamin'/stage. after all things for the 'nikah' later had settled, it was already four plus. the 'nikah' would take place at 6pm. &guess what? my outfit for the occasion was at home! fam didnt bring it along! asked daddy to send me home asap so that i could take it. meanwhile, we headed downstairs to see settings of the reception corner. also the 'pelamin'.
yeah, it was nicely decorated. at last! according to the theme. if you take a look at the void-deck ; it doesnt looked a void-deck even! it was so heavily decorated with flowers, tables, chairs, stage blahblahblah. haha(; even the residences who dont know what happened seemed lost. looking at my limegreen watch, it was already 445pm! &i still had not changed into my outfit yet! goshhh, pestered my dad &we went home by motorcycle. (my car is a weekendcar) had a very brief, quick bath. didnt even had the time to put on make-up. just applied eye-liner & mascara, and that's it!
it was so rushing for daddy too cause he CAN'T be late. reason being? he was kak jannah's representative for the solemnisation.
it's a malay tradition for those who wanted to get engaged or married, their fathers can't do that for them.
a representative, who is their next-of-kin, is sent. 515pm ; we left house. abg mydin was already calling us, checking where we were. once i reached there, i immediately went into the 'bilik pengantin'. as promised, i'd be the first to snap shots of the then bride-to-be.
& i was shocked to see kak jannah! she was soooooooooooo gorgeous. used to seeing her in her daily clothes & knowing her, she just looked so different on that very day(; hehe. those who had seen kak jannah before, you'd understand what i mean when you see the pictures below.
ofcourse the most important thing of the solemnisation ; the 'hantarans'!
'hantaran' is gifts prepared by both the bride & groom, which later would be exchanged. as a token of appreciation & symbol of the promise made during the engagement.
where we displayed the ring for the groom.
this is kak yanti ; bride's younger sister.
'akad nikah' moments was a very anxious & anticipated moment.
(; cause later the groom would have to say that he accept the solemnisation &have to mention the bride's name. due to the pressurising atmosphere, it's obvious the groom is very nervous &would stumble on his words. so if he happened to stumble on the bride's name, it would not be counted & have to repeat again. yeah, you could imagine how tensed abg khai was.
yes at last everything was over!
btw, sorry for the blurr pichas for the ones above. cause i was standing wayyyyy at the back.
&my zoom isnt that good. so yeah. that's the best i can come out with(;
after that was just slacking & camwhoring till late night. azmil, mima's boyfie, came over. slacked &crapped. also, we were soooooo famished! haha. ape lagi!? bedal laa! (; turned in early to prepare for the big day ahead!
next outfit of hers (; tolong eh, nikah je 3 baju eh? jangan main-main.. hindustan themed. feeling feeling la cket.. ahah.
nice rightt? lol, but she complained the dress was freaking heavy. haha, especially when she put the scarve over her head, "berat seyy kepale kakak!"
but it's worth th weight! ahahs(;
okay not forgetting here are the hantarans/gifts from the groom's side. see what ive told you!? ours nicer right1? gossshhh. we were so heavy-hearted to give ours to them. sheeesh. :/

yes the reception day.
it was tiring indeed.

as usual ; it was filled with laughter, craps &jokes by JOKERS OF THE DAY ; AYUL &AJUN.
hehe. as mentioned, no pics for the day.
cause i forgotten all about my camera.

overall, it was a very nice experience.
different from the recent wedding celebration.
tell you why.
before the groom can come &see the bride ; we created 4 different stages.
firstly, after thegroom alighted from the car, ajun &his PAKARA HAPPENING TEAM members formed a block.
unless they were given green packets, they WONT allow the groom to pass through.
secondly, a block created by abg along &cik nasir (my uncle).
same thing, unless they were given green packets, they WONT allow the groom to pass through.
thirdly, was a block created by US!
HEHE. we purposely made things difficult for the groom &his representatives.
haha.
until each of us got a green packet, then we let them pass through.
lastly, was the 'mak andam'.
HAHA!
see how difficult things was for the groom to see the bride.
it's our tradition to 'play hard to get'..
haha.
